The History of For Hamilton started during the declaration of independence of the United States of America, in 1776. This was when the United States Army realized the importance of building a military installation along the shores of the east coast, one of which of these areas is Brooklyn.
However, it was not until after 1825 that the Fort Hamilton that you know of today stands proud. 1 year shy of the 50th year of American independence, Fort Hamilton was established as one of the many army installations located along the east coast, specifically in the state of New York.
Fort Hamilton served for 3 of the major battles that America has to face. The fort served as a base that fought against the civil war, and it served its purpose well by having strong fortifications along its perimeter.
The other two major occurrences in history are the First World War and the Second World War. In the first world war, Fort Hamilton served as a great venue for deployment and drop-off of supplies and manpower in the east coast. As for the Second World War, the attack on Pearl Harbor launched and propelled Fort Hamilton to serve its purpose during the days of war and unrest between nations.
Today, Fort Hamilton continues to grow by honing men and women of the army to join in the fight for peace and unity of the United States of America and its allies. It is also a military installation that continues to grow dynamically, just as the city of New York grows day by day.

This was after the perilous September 11, 2001 attacks, which marked the lives of New Yorkers and Amercians forever.
